Greetings from the Editor-in-chief

|
I am Professor of Genetics and Deputy Head of the Department of Genetics, Ecology and Evolution, Vasco Azevedo, at Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. I am a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and am a Knight of the National Order of Scientific Merit of the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation, also, I am researcher 1A of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) which is the highest position.
It is a humbling thing to be asked to take up the post of Editor-in-Chief in a field with so many talented researchers. I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to the members of the Editorial Board of IIOAB Journal for their confidence in me.
IIOAB is a thriving journal offering papers on multiple scientific and technical areas. The journal is undergoing some major changes, including the recent transferal of papers to updated peer-review management system. With this new system authors can expect fast publication times of around 4 or 5 months from submission, and excellent author service.
In this world of ever-changing technology, the Editorial Board and I aim to reduce the time to publication for researchers in this exciting area of science and engineering. I am in the process of developing a team of Associate Editors to promote the journal in the number of critical sub-areas, and to play a key, integral role in the review process. Associate Editors will be chosen to serve in several sub-areas to ensure expertise and continuation of the rigorous review process. Under my leadership as the Editor-in-Chief, I aim to ensure that IIOAB Journal maintains and grows in quality to best serve our diverse community of researchers.
With warm regards, Vasco Azevedo Editor-in-Chief

IIOAB Journal Publishes 3 Types of articles:
1. REGULAR ISSUE: Four Regular Issues are published each year (4/Year). Double-blind peer-review is done by external and internal reviewers for each article submitted for consideration of publication in Regular Issues. The acceptance rate in regular issue is approximately 50%. For submission, please see the Guide for Authors and Submission process.
2. SPECIAL ISSUE: IIOAB Journal publishes topic oriented Special Issues in any specific field within the scope of the journal. Guest Editors are entirely responsible for special issue publication who call, peer-review, and accept articles in coordination with Editorial Office. 20-25 articles are published in each special issue. Authors are required to prepare and submit the article in consultation with the Guest Editor. Sometimes we also publish Computer Science related articles under a special issue that passes the regular peer-review. For submission, please see the Guide for Authors and Submission process.
3. SUPPLEMENT ISSUE: Conference abstracts, works of budding researchers, thesis in article format, and articles related to Social Sciences, Management, Economics etc. are considered for publication in Supplement Issues. These articles also undergo standard peer review similar to the Regular Issue.
